Today I cam home to find a little red Honda with this sign on it sitting in front of my neighbor’s house. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I pushed it into my driveway, and immediately tried to get it running. Borrowed a battery from a friend, spashed in some fresh gas, and actually got it running!

And her she is. A 1984 Honda Aero80. She purrs like a kitten. Everything works but the Speedometer, and fuel gauge. But according to a speedo app on my phone it’ll do 38mph, or 40 with my head tucked behind the cowl. Not bad.

The battery in this pic is temporary. I have a smaller one, this was just a loaner from my buddies 250, it’s too big to fit in the battery box.

I added some badging to make it faster.

I’ve never ridden a two wheeled motor vehicle before today, I’ve gotta say, I’m loving it.

It also came with this original dealership keychain. So pink, So 80's. Looks like the dealership is still open same number in the Bloomington location. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Honda and Yamaha? Strange pairing, considering Toyota owns Yamaha.

Skagit Powersports carries Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Ducati, and KTM. No Honda, though. (I’ve bought 3 of the 5 from them) (also, Kymco and GasGas, but meh)

I’m a wet-sider, but I got plenty of love for the other side of the state. It’s a beautiful city.

It’s certainly versatile. If you watch Z Nation you will see it fill in for a bunch of other cities from across the country.

I like it. I wonder if you can find some really sticky compound for the tires....polish up that paint....then WOW.

I miss my old Piaggio scooter. Didnt have it long but they’re so much fun to zip about on. I’ll probably get another one some day.

When I think of downtown, I think of Skid Row (Downtown).

They really are fun. I’m hoping I can get my wife to try it, then we can get her one too and we can moped around together!
